Co-working spaces in Pecan Grove?

Been living here since 2005. Homes are going for about $359,300 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Pecan Grove sits at 402.7 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Worth the trade-offs?

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely decent and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (East) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from LA about 5 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are reasonable, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Denver about 14 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is tough.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'm a HR manager and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 4 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I work in healthcare here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is challenging. Definitely worth checking out..

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely decent and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (East) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
