Is Pecan Grove still affordable?

Born and raised here. Median household income is $137,275, which feels pretty solid for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Let me know your thoughts. Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Atlanta about 4 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is hit or miss.
