The good and bad of living in Pelzer

Curious what people think. I grew up here but left for a while. Median household income is $54,886, which feels on the lower side for the area. The median home value here is around $170,400, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $1,036/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in West. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Hope this helps!.

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The traffic is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..
