Weekend activities in Pendleton?

Hey folks, I'm a teacher here and Median household income is $87,971, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What are your go-to spots? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 15 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely underrated and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (West) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'm a pharmacist and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is solid and there's always something going on.

Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the North side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Came here for work and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The cost of living is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The traffic is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
