What's it really like living in Pensacola?
First post here. Homes are going for about $276,500 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Pensacola sits at 590.9 per 100K. Average temperature is around 69--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Does this match your experience? Any help is appreciated. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
