Peoria is underrated, change my mind

I keep seeing people overlook Peoria when talking about great places to live. With a population of 194,338, it's big enough to have everything you need but small enough to feel like a community. Cost of living is reasonable for what you get. The weather is great — warm most of the year with an average of 73F.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

Coming from Phoenix, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are cheaper.

Rent tip: look for places in winter. Prices drop and there's more availability.

As someone who moved here from Atlanta, I can confirm most of this. The cost of living surprised me the most.

If you can afford it, Northside is the best place to live. Period.
