Hey, With a population of 6,807, Pepper Pike is a small town. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What are your go-to spots? Thanks for reading. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much affordable but now it's surprisingly good.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a writer, 34, moved here 9 years ago from Phoenix. I've lived in Oak Park and Riverside, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Good internet infrastructure
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally solid - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Limited shopping options
2. Far from beaches/mountains
3. The pet-friendliness situation is established and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Oak Park: Great for young professionals. better than expected vibes, walkable.
- Riverside: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Phoenix, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are stable. Gas is reasonable. You can live comfortably on $80K-$70K here.
**Final verdict:**
No regrets on my end.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
