Born and raised here. Median household income is $49,109, which feels on the lower side for the area. Household incomes average around $49,109 in Perezville. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Would love some local perspective. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in East. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in retail. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Korean.
