Couple moving to Perris from out of state

I relocated for work and Household incomes average around $82,523 in Perris. The median home value here is around $431,900, which is pretty steep. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What would you do? TIA! The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in tech. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
