The good and bad of living in Perry

OK so I grew up here but left for a while. Crime rate is something to consider -Perry sits at 446.8 per 100K. Household incomes average around $81,648 in Perry. The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 22,243 people. Poverty rate is 10.7%, which is around average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Low taxes
- Lots of new development
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Homelessness issues downtown
Is this normal for Perry? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
