Thinking about relocating to Perry Hall from Seattle

Alright, I'm a teacher here and The unemployment rate is 1.5%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Boston about 8 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
