Why I chose Perryville over bigger cities

You can expect to pay around $929 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 4.6%, which is about average. It's a a small town city with about 8,530 people. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Good schools
- Low taxes
- Strong sense of community
- Walkable downtown

Cons:
- Not very walkable
- Lack of diversity
- Chain restaurants dominate

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Maple Ridge area are average. Kids love it here.

I work in government here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is better than expected. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
