Anyone else feel this way? I'm retired and Rent is about $2,379/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $834,900 on average. Poverty rate is 2.5%, which is pretty low. With a population of 59,321, Petaluma is a smaller city. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. What are your go-to spots? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
