Quick question about Petaluma

Military spouse here. Median household income is $109,823, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Petaluma sits at 304.4 per 100K. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Any advice would be great. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..
