Been meaning to ask this. It's a a smaller city city with about 59,321 people. Rent is about $2,379/month for a decent place. Median household income is $109,823, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Petaluma sits at 304.4 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I wrong here? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 9 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is excellent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
