Housing market in Petoskey right now

Random thought, Born and raised here. It's a a small town city with about 5,851 people. Homes are going for about $319,300 on average. Median household income is $71,783, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 46--F, so expect cold winters. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Low crime in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons:
- Limited nightlife
- Poor road conditions
- Limited cultural events
- Not enough green space
Has anyone dealt with this? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.
