Most overrated things about Pevely

Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $203,700 on average. You can expect to pay around $844 for rent here. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Raleigh it's average.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's exactly what I was looking for. Feel free to reach out with questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is improving in most areas.

I've lived in Springfield for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Affordable housing options
- The school system scene is decent

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Definitely worth checking out..

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Austin about 3 years ago. The main reasons were school and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is improving.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Definitely worth checking out..

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Springfield area are solid. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from New York about 8 years ago. The main reasons were work and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
