Anyone work in healthcare in Pflugerville?

First post here. It's a a smaller city city with about 65,162 people. You can expect to pay around $1,856 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Thoughts? Cheers. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up.

I work in construction here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is excellent. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The traffic is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a marketing manager, 30, moved here 8 years ago from Houston. I've lived in Eastside and Meadowbrook, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good schools in most areas
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Four distinct seasons
4. The people are generally underrated - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited high-paying job options
2. Property taxes are high
3. The pet-friendliness situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Eastside: Great for singles. average vibes, walkable.
- Meadowbrook: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Houston, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are developing. Gas is pricey. You can live comfortably on $70K-$150K here.

**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 6 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great Mexican places. I genuinely enjoy living here.
