I've lived in Fairmount for the past 1 years. Cost of living is not as cheap as people think compared to where I came from.
Property values in Brewerytown went up 7% last year alone. Unemployment at 5.3% is {unemp_feel}.
What I like:
- Affordable compared to coastal cities
- Growing job market
- Active community events
What I don't:
- Winters are harsh
- Nightlife is lacking
- Chain restaurants everywhere
- Parking is a nightmare
The suburbs vs city debate here is real. I don't understand why more people don't talk about Fairmount.
Roast me or validate me, I can take it.
