Homes are going for about $110,900 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I overthinking this? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much affordable but now it's solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in West. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
