Parent of two, been here since 2018. Median income here is around which {inc_feel}. I've never felt unsafe walking around Downtown Phoenix at night. Curious if others agree.

OK let me break this down from someone who's been here a while.
Arcadia vs Downtown Phoenix: completely different vibes. Arcadia is more decent with walkable streets and local shops. Downtown Phoenix is pricey and better for couples.
Cost-wise, expect /mo minimum for anything decent in Arcadia. In Downtown Phoenix you can find stuff for /mo.
People here are friendlier than I expected coming from {other}.. The suburbs vs city debate here is real.

As someone who lives in South Mountain, Cost of living is {col_feel} compared to where I came from.. That said, it has gotten more expensive recently.

My experience has been different actually. I found that The community in {hood} is really tight-knit.. Maybe it depends on which part of Phoenix you're in.
