Transplant from Chicago. Been here 5 months now. The school system in Glendale is actually solid.

I saw that rent in Glendale is now /mo which is making me nervous. Home prices averaging is {home_feel}.

What I like:
- Affordable compared to coastal cities
- Strong local businesses
- Good healthcare options
- Safe neighborhoods
- Pet-friendly city

What I don't:
- Not very walkable
- Hard to date here

People here are friendlier than I expected coming from Chicago. The community in Glendale is really tight-knit.
