Pico Rivera in the winter -how bad?

I've been here for 17 years and Rent is about $1,775/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 60,821 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Pico Rivera sits at 372.1 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Any help is appreciated. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I work in engineering here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is solid. No regrets on my end..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
