How are the schools in Pikesville?

Hey everyone, The median home value here is around $404,100, which is pretty steep. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from New York about 12 years ago. The main reasons were weather and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..
