First post here. Just moved here 4 months ago and Median household income is $146,543, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $686,300 on average. With a population of 6,017, Pine Brook is a small town. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Let me know your thoughts. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

Moved here from Chicago about 3 years ago. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Still getting used to weather but Definitely worth checking out..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Greenfield for 12 years. Moved from Chicago for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is surprisingly good. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.
**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. marketing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is decent - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are decent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Urban sprawl is real. Limited shopping options. And dating scene can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 8/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
