Raising a family in Pine Canyon -thoughts?

I work in logistics and The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Pine Canyon sits at 412.4 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 2,538 people. Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Growing food scene
- Active local events
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Limited dining options
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Not enough green space
What are your go-to spots? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Bought a house here in 2021 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
