Best apartments in Pine Ridge CDP (Citrus County) under ?

First post here. Been living here since 2008. Crime rate is something to consider -Pine Ridge CDP (Citrus County) sits at 510.8 per 100K. Rent is about $1,053/month for a decent place. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. Looking forward to hearing from you all. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've lived in Midtown for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
- The school system scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely improving and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (Fairview) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. school system is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is excellent in most areas.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely solid and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (West) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. No regrets on my end..
