Honest thoughts on life in Pine Ridge CDP (Citrus County)
Hey, Rent is about $1,053/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $354,600 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What are your go-to spots? Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Pine Hills. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in marketing. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Asian.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
