Moving to Pine Ridge CDP (Citrus County) -what should I know?

First post here. You can expect to pay around $1,053 for rent here. Median household income is $66,131, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $354,600, which seems about average. It's a a small town city with about 10,676 people. Rent is about $1,053/month for a decent place. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Thanks in advance! Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in North. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Italian.

No regrets on my end..
