Thinking about relocating to Pine Ridge from San Francisco
I'm single, late 50s, and Household incomes average around $63,949 in Pine Ridge. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much manageable but now it's challenging.

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The community vibe is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The nightlife is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Boston about 12 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Dating scene is rough
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is improving.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Meadowbrook. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in tech. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Thai.
No regrets on my end..

The food scene here is decent. Tons of great Asian places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.
