Hello, My partner and I are With a population of 6,737, Pinehurst is a small town. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Would love some local perspective. Thanks! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Downtown. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Korean.
Hope this helps!.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 5 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
