Cheapest neighborhoods in Pinellas Park?

Alright, I'm retired and Poverty rate is 8.3%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $251,900 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Is this normal for Pinellas Park? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The housing market is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely average and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Houston, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
