Working in Pinellas Park -salaries realistic?

OK so I'm a remote worker and Homes are going for about $251,900 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What are your go-to spots? Thanks in advance! People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in South. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in tech. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from New York about 13 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Definitely worth checking out..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in North for 14 years. Moved from Chicago for weather. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. manufacturing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. North schools are solid. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Limited high-paying job options. And dating scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 7/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
