Pineville quality of life -am I missing something?

Hey everyone, Rent is about $876/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Thoughts? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Charlotte about 7 years ago. The main reasons were weather and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is underrated.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. No regrets on my end..

I'm a project manager and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is surprisingly good and there's always something going on.

Came here for school and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The housing market is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
