OK so Just moved here 17 months ago and It's a a small town city with about 10,780 people. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.
I've been here 15 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much competitive but now it's decent.
