Best neighborhoods in Pinole

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a remote worker and Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $2,738/month for a decent place. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Bought a house here in 2021 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in South for 6 years. Moved from Austin for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2023 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
legal is strong here. real estate is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. South schools are excellent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Summers can be brutally hot. Homeless population growing downtown. And cultural scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 6/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've been in Old Town for 2 years. Moved from Atlanta for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is hit or miss. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
finance is strong here. engineering is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Old Town schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Road conditions need improvement. And food scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 8/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The dating scene scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in Westside for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Active local events and festivals
- The community vibe scene is improving

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The walkability is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've been in Cedar Grove for 14 years. Moved from San Diego for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are pretty good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited shopping options. Bugs and humidity in summer. And outdoor recreation can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 5/10. Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Moved here from Boston about 1 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to outdoor recreation but It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in North area are better than expected. Kids love it here.
