Life in Pittsburg as a young professional

Hey, Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $583,100 on average. The unemployment rate is 4.9%, which is about average. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a smaller city city with about 75,868 people. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Worth the trade-offs? The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Bought a house here in 2023 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I work in retail here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is average. Feel free to reach out with questions..
