Pittsburg job market vs Houston

Hey, I'm a college student here and The median home value here is around $583,100, which is pretty steep. Household incomes average around $101,099 in Pittsburg. Homes are going for about $583,100 on average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thanks in advance! The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from San Diego about 10 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Lots of new development happening
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'm a contractor and I've found it exceeded my expectations. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.
