So, You can expect to pay around $1,221 for rent here. Is this normal for Pittsburgh? The suburbs are where most families end up.

I'm a physical therapist and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to Chicago it's average.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from New York about 6 years ago. The main reasons were weather and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Active local events and festivals
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are pricey, gas is improving.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
