Working remotely from Pittsburgh — my experience

I've been working remotely from Pittsburgh for 4 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: pretty reasonable
Internet: Could be better but workable with a good provider
Coworking spaces: Growing number of options

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Pittsburgh is worth considering.

Respectfully disagree about the safety concerns. In my experience, it really depends on your lifestyle.

Rent tip: look for places in winter. Prices drop and there's more availability.

As someone who moved here from New York, I can confirm most of this. The friendliness of people surprised me the most.
