Hey folks, I've been here for 5 years and The median home value here is around $233,700, which is actually reasonable. Crime rate is something to consider -Pittsfield sits at 709.8 per 100K. With a population of 43,559, Pittsfield is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,094/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to.
