Not sure if this has been asked before, but Poverty rate is 22.3%, which is higher than I expected. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Does this match your experience? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
