Hello, I'm a remote worker and Median household income is $110,575, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Placentia sits at 371.0 per 100K. The median home value here is around $871,000, which is pretty steep. You can expect to pay around $2,267 for rent here. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Thoughts?

I've lived in North for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- The traffic scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is improving in most areas.
