Came here for weather and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The nightlife is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Austin about 2 years ago. The main reasons were weather and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.
