Remote worker thinking about Plain City

Been meaning to ask this. My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 8,101, Plain City is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -Plain City sits at 56.9 per 100K. The median home value here is around $532,300, which is pretty steep. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What do you all think? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I work in retail here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is underrated. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Boston it's decent.
