What to expect moving to Plainfield?

Hey everyone, I'm retired and Rent is about $1,889/month for a decent place. With a population of 45,705, Plainfield is a smaller city. Poverty rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Nashville it's surprisingly good.

I work in manufacturing here and I love the pace of life here. The job market for my field is average. No regrets on my end..
