Anyone regret moving to Plainfield?

Hey everyone, Poverty rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 35,783 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Any advice would be great. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cultural scene. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Eastside. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
