How much do you pay for rent in Plainfield?
Curious what people think. We have two kids and It's a a smaller city city with about 35,783 people. Median household income is $85,074, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $1,313/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I overthinking this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
