Plainfield is underrated, change my mind

With a population of 35,783, Plainfield is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $263,900, which seems about average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Is this normal for Plainfield? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from New York about 11 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is underrated.
