I'm a nurse at the local hospital and It's a a small town city with about 19,893 people. Homes are going for about $107,800 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. Any advice would be great. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I've lived in Downtown for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The housing market scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Dating scene is rough
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Salt Lake City it's challenging.
